VP Sara Duterte reveals alleged 2024 plans against her and Rodrigo Duterte

Vice President Sara Duterte said she received information as early as 2024 about alleged plans by the Marcos administration against her and her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to the vice president, the alleged plans included the issuance of an International Criminal Court warrant against the former president and attacks against her.

Duterte said she informed then-Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. about several important requests concerning her security.

She said her security was connected to the AFP because she is part of the constitutional line of succession.

Among her requests, Duterte said, was for her mother and children to be protected and not be dragged into or threatened as part of the alleged plans.

The vice president also showed a screenshot of what she said was a message she sent to Brawner.

Duterte further questioned the reported approach or presence of authorities in areas where her mother and children were located.

She said the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the police already knew her whereabouts because of their surveillance activities.

The vice president described the alleged involvement or intimidation of minors as “child abuse.”

She also maintained that children should not be used as a means of exerting pressure.

Duterte’s statements center on her claim that information about alleged actions against her and her father had reached her as early as 2024.

The allegations were presented by the vice president in discussing her security concerns and the protection of her family.
