Palarong Pambansa standout Della bags silver at SEA Open Water Championships

Palarong Pambansa standout Anton Paulo Dominick Della captured the silver medal in the men’s 10-kilometer 18-to-19 age group at the Southeast Asia Open Water Championships in Boracay.

The 17-year-old swimmer from San Fernando, La Union clocked in at 2 hours and 20 seconds to secure second place in the highly competitive field.

Della also came close to reaching the podium in the Open division, missing the bronze medal by just five seconds.

Meanwhile, fellow Filipino swimmer Dianna Celyn Cruz took home the bronze medal in the women’s 20-and-above category despite battling hip pain during the race.

Della will return to action on Saturday for the mixed relay, where he will team up with Alex Tiu, Graziella Sophia Ato, and Nuche Veronica Ibit.
