The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has announced that airports across the country are prepared for the possible effects of Super Typhoon Inday.
In a statement, CAAP said that as part of its weather contingency procedures, airports that may be affected have been instructed to ensure the readiness of communication equipment, navigational facilities, control towers, and other critical airport infrastructure.
According to the agency, airport operations remain normal, but it continues to closely monitor weather conditions to ensure that all necessary actions can be taken promptly if needed.
CAAP also advised passengers to regularly check flight advisories and weather updates before traveling.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Super Typhoon Inday has slightly intensified.
While the typhoon is not expected to make landfall, it may move close to and pass near Extreme Northern Luzon by Friday.
