Camp of former President Duterte continues preparations for ICC trial

Vice President Sara Duterte said she has “accepted” the recent decisions of the International Criminal Court regarding her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.

These include the court’s confirmation of jurisdiction over Duterte and the confirmation of charges filed against him.

In an interview during her visit to her father in The Hague, the vice president said she accepts the outcome and does not expect the court to simply drop the case.

Because of this, she said the best course of action now is to prepare for the trial.

Former President Duterte is facing charges of crimes against humanity in connection with killings linked to his war on drugs campaign.

Meanwhile, VP Sara shared that her father is in good condition and appears healthy.

She also expressed gratitude to supporters of their family.
