Earlier, Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Rear Adm. Roy Vincent Trinidad, assured that the military supports the civilian-led mission and will continue to monitor its progress.

As of 7:40 a.m., the civilian mission was reported to be about 90 nautical miles from Manila and 60 nautical miles west of Mindoro.

The Atin Ito Coalition is conducting a six-day civilian-led mission featuring what it calls a Patriotic Jet Ski Flag Ride.
