7 dead after hospital wall collapse in India

Seven people were killed after an approximately eight-foot wall of a hospital complex collapsed in Bengaluru.

Among the fatalities were a child and four street vendors, while the identities of the remaining victims have yet to be confirmed.

Three others were injured and are currently recovering in the hospital.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the incident as “unfortunate.”

In recent weeks, the area had been experiencing high temperatures. However, the weather suddenly shifted, bringing heavy rains, strong winds, and intense hailstorms, which caused damage and may have contributed to the collapse.
