DICT strengthens servers of eGov PH app

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is reinforcing the system of the one-stop platform eGov PH App.

According to DICT Undersecretary David Almirol Jr., the agency is focused on building a more robust system capable of handling millions of users without disruption.

Last week, the DICT clarified that the temporary downtime experienced by users was not due to any security incident, but rather the surge in transactions on the platform.

In response, the agency is upgrading its back-end systems and increasing cloud capacity to meet higher demand.

The DICT also said it is coordinating with various government agencies to ensure the system remains stable and efficient.

The app has already reached around 40 million downloads.
