DOE: Prices should not change until Tuesday

Sharon Garin, Secretary of the Department of Energy (DOE), announced that the next oil price hike should take effect on Tuesday of the coming week.

In a social media post, Garin stressed that the prices of petroleum products should not change until Tuesday since the adjustment for the current week has already been implemented.

She said there should be no price increase today, tomorrow, or on Monday.

At the same time, Garin called on the public to help hold accountable those who may violate the implementation of fuel price adjustments.

She noted that there are around 14,000 gas stations nationwide, and urged the public to report any violations to local enforcement agencies so that the Philippine National Police (PNP) can deploy personnel if necessary.
