VP Sara calls for deeper investigation into ambush of Shariff Aguak Mayor Ampatuan

Vice President Sara Duterte condemned the ambush of Shariff Aguak Mayor Adatu Akmad Mitra Ampatuan.

In an interview from The Hague, Netherlands, Vice President Duterte said that incidents like this reflect a degradation of peace and order.

She said such acts are not normal and should not be tolerated.

Because of this, the Vice President stressed the need for a deeper investigation into the incident.

She also questioned how a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was obtained and used in the ambush.

It can be recalled that four suspects were killed during a hot pursuit operation following the attack.
