Bayan chairperson Teddy Casiño believes that the new video released by former Congressman Zaldy Co requires serious and thorough consideration from authorities.
According to Casiño, Co made self-incriminating statements containing his personal knowledge of alleged payoffs made to President Bongbong Marcos, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and Justice Undersecretary Jose Cadiz.
Casiño said Co even mentioned specific locations where the drop-offs supposedly occurred. Because of this, he is confident that CCTV footage and potential witnesses can be obtained to verify the allegations.
In the end, the group reiterated its call for the resignation of Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte. Their stepping down, it said, would pave the way for a serious and credible investigation.
