Ombudsman to form task force for investigation into Villar family projects

Ombudsman Boying Remulla is set to create a task force to investigate several infrastructure projects linked to the Villar family.

Among the projects to be reviewed are the Las Piñas–Zapote River Drive and flood control projects in Las Piñas and Bacoor.

According to Remulla, the probe will determine whether these projects were funded by the Villar family or by the government.

It will be recalled that the Department of Justice earlier confirmed that Senator Mark Villar and other family members were under investigation over possible ties to a private company with government contracts.
