Nearly 900 chicken eggs smashed onto the road early Monday, April 28, after falling from a delivery truck traveling along Laray Junction at Cebu South Coastal Road, Talisay City, Cebu
The incident caused a brief but heavy traffic buildup in the area as the broken eggs scattered across the busy street.
Personnel from the City of Talisay-Traffic Operations Development Authority (CT-TODA) immediately responded to the scene, working swiftly to clear the mess and ease congestion.
Authorities said the eggs fell when the load inside the delivery cab shifted, causing it to spill onto the roadway.
In response, CT-TODA officials issued a reminder to all delivery drivers to properly secure their cargo to prevent similar accidents from happening again.
No injuries were reported, but the incident highlighted the need for stricter compliance with cargo security among delivery services, especially on busy roads such as the Cebu South Coastal Road.
