7 men brutally stabbed to death in Antipolo bakery while asleep

NEWS UPDATE | The death toll in the brutal stabbing at a bakery in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City has risen to seven, according to an update from the Rizal Police.

Authorities confirmed that two additional victims were found dead following the initial report of five fatalities. The attack took place early morning, April 22, at a bakery located in Purok 1, Zone 8 of the barangay.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims, all male bakery workers, were asleep when the stabbing occurred. They were reportedly living and working at the same bakery where the attack took place.

Police later confirmed that the suspect had surrendered and is now under police custody at Camp Crame. His identity has not yet been disclosed to the public.

In a separate interview, the Rizal Police said they are looking into a possible misunderstanding as a motive behind the massacre. Investigators are continuing to gather information, including forensic evidence and witness statements, to piece together the full circumstances of the attack.
