2 nabbed in Davao del Norte, ₱540K shabu seized

Two alleged notorious drug pushers were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI in Panabo City, Davao del Norte around 2 a.m. on May 30.

Authorities identified the suspects only by their aliases, Sarge and Sagal. Both were caught in possession of suspected shabu estimated to be worth nearly ₱600,000.

According to PDEA XI, the suspects were placed under surveillance and were apprehended after a successful transaction with an undercover agent.

The operation led to the immediate arrest of both individuals once the exchange of money and illegal drugs was completed.

PDEA XI confirmed that the suspects had been on their watchlist and were believed to be actively involved in the local drug trade in Panabo City.

Criminal charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being filed against the two.

They are currently under the custody of the PDEA for further investigation and processing.
