1 dead, 1 injured in Camarines Norte due to shear line

A man was confirmed dead, and another rushed to the hospital after five boats were swept away by relentless waves in the seas off Barangay Bagasbas, Daet, and Mercedes in Camarines Norte. The incident unfolded amidst the aftermath of a powerful shear line, leaving devastation in its wake.

The deceased was identified but could not be retrieved as of 9 a.m. due to high waves and heavy debris weighing down the boat. Despite being washed ashore, the boats were gradually destroyed by the unrelenting surf, reducing them to fragments.
