Police seized an estimated ₱3.7 million worth of suspected marijuana during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, at about 3:10 a.m. on Sept. 26.
Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-7 recovered an estimated 28.4 kilograms of suspected dried marijuana leaves during the operation.
Arrested was a 22-year-old man identified by the alias “Anel,” a resident of Barangay Guadalupe.
Aside from the suspected marijuana leaves, police also seized marijuana seeds, 113 pieces of suspected liquid marijuana cartridges and two disposable vape cartridges.
Authorities placed the estimated total value of the confiscated items at ₱3.7 million.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Anel, who may face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The confiscated items included suspected marijuana leaves, seeds, liquid marijuana cartridges and disposable vape cartridges.
The items were recovered during the buy-bust operation in Barangay Guadalupe.
The report did not provide additional details about the alleged transaction or the suspect.
Authorities may pursue charges against Anel under Republic Act 9165 based on the items allegedly recovered during the operation.
