The Commission on Audit (COA) has flagged ₱152 million worth of entrepreneurship starter kits from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) that remained undistributed in 2023.
The kits, meant for beneficiaries of TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program (STEP), were estimated at 50,000 units.
COA also noted irregularities in the utilization of funds under TESDA’s other programs, such as the Sariling Sikap Program (SSP).
TESDA has not yet issued a statement addressing these findings.
