VP Sara Honors Indigenous Peoples in Celebration of Indigenous Peoples Month

Vice President Sara Duterte called on the public to value, protect, and honor the rights and culture of Indigenous Filipinos.

This comes as the country marks Indigenous Peoples Month and the 28th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act.

In her video message, Duterte recognized the invaluable contributions of Indigenous communities in protecting the environment, enriching Philippine culture, and advancing the nation’s collective knowledge.

She said that the wisdom and traditions passed down by Indigenous Peoples strengthen and define the Filipino identity.

In closing, the Vice President urged everyone to continue valuing, safeguarding, and honoring their rights and culture.
