Venezuela earthquake death toll surpasses 900

The death toll from the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela has continued to rise, with more than 900 fatalities reported.

According to authorities, over 900 people have died two days after the powerful earthquakes hit the country.

Rescue teams are only beginning to reach some of the hardest-hit areas, raising concerns that the number of casualties could increase further.

Based on the latest government figures, the disaster has claimed 920 lives, while 172 people remain trapped and more than 3,000 have been injured.

Meanwhile, more than 50,000 people are still reported missing as search and rescue operations continue.
