Trae Young, Kyrie Irving to replace injured stars in NBA All-Star Game

Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks have been named as replacements for the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game.

Antetokounmpo and Davis were forced to withdraw due to injuries, opening spots for Young and Irving. Young will play for “Team Chuck,” led by Charles Barkley, while Irving will replace Davis on “Team Shaq,” coached by Shaquille O’Neal.

This marks Young’s fourth All-Star appearance, with the guard averaging 23.5 points and 11.4 assists per game this season. Irving, a seasoned All-Star, is averaging 24.1 points per game.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place at Chase Center in San Francisco on February 16.
