A 25-year-old teacher was found brutally murdered in a remote area of Barangay Sta. Misericordia, Sto. Domingo, Albay, on Tuesday morning, with multiple stab wounds covering her body. Police identified the victim, known as “Ma’am Da,” who taught at Bonga National High School in Bacacay, Albay.
The gruesome discovery at around 11 a.m. prompted immediate action from local authorities and investigators. After a thorough review of CCTV footage near the scene, police noted that the last person seen with the teacher was a man identified as Ryan Carale y Caturza, 28, a resident of Aguinaldo St., Barangay 10, Bacacay.
Carale, now in custody, denies any involvement, but compelling evidence ties him to the crime. Officers recovered a bloodstained helmet discarded in Barangay Bayandong, along a route connecting to the victim’s residence. Authorities later apprehended Carale at 9 p.m. along with his motorcycle, which still bore traces of blood.
According to Sto. Domingo MPS Chief of Police, P/Captain Victor Borjal, Carale is not a first-time offender. “We’ve learned he was previously imprisoned for the murder of a former girlfriend, a student in Tabaco City, five years ago
