SK Chairperson dies in tragic motorcycle crash in Ilagan City

A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a young Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson early Tuesday morning, January 28, 2025. The victim, identified as Aerome Jose Cabalongga, 20, of Barangay Centro San Antonio, was declared dead-on-arrival after losing control of his Honda ADV motorcycle along the national road in Barangay Malalam.

According to the Ilagan City Police, the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. while Cabalongga was traveling from Barangay Malalam toward Barangay San Antonio. Upon reaching the accident site, he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a parked vehicle on the roadside.

The impact of the crash caused severe injuries to Cabalongga, who was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by Rescue 1124. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead by the attending physician upon arrival.
