A 44-year-old farmer died after falling beneath Taguisa Bridge in Barangay Taguisa, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat early Saturday morning.
Authorities identified the victim as Rolly T. Bianan, a resident of the said area, based on initial police reports.
Police received a call around six in the morning from the barangay chairman regarding a body found floating beneath the bridge.
Responding officers and traffic investigators immediately proceeded to the area and conducted a thorough investigation at the scene.
Initial findings showed the victim drove his motorcycle while traveling along the road heading toward Taguisa Provincial Road before incident.
The victim reportedly lost control upon reaching the bridge, causing him to crash and eventually fall beneath the structure below.
He sustained severe chest injuries, which authorities believe caused his immediate death at the scene during the early morning incident.
Further information revealed that witnesses last saw the victim around midnight while drinking alcohol at a local fair nearby.
Authorities brought the victim’s body to a funeral home for proper arrangements while continuing their investigation into the incident.
