A public school teacher and two other individuals were arrested in a buy-bust operation early Friday, February 21, in Barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion, Cebu. Authorities seized approximately 30 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P204,000, from the suspects.
The teacher, identified as alias Jed, 50, is classified as a High Value Individual (HVI) in the local drug trade and was the primary target of the operation. Two other suspects, Jerom, 23, and Clint, 25, both considered Street Level Individuals (SLIs), were also apprehended during the raid.
The Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit and Consolacion Police conducted the operation, which led to the confiscation of the illegal drugs. The suspects are now in custody and face charges related to drug possession and distribution.
This arrest highlights ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat the illegal drug trade in Cebu, particularly targeting high-profile individuals involved in the narcotics network. Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the suspects’ involvement in the drug trade.
