The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified the two suspects allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of political vlogger Mima Alicia in Caloocan City.
PNP spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co said investigators believe the two suspects may be members of a syndicate who were hired to carry out the killing.
According to Co, one of the identified suspects has previously faced criminal charges.
The identification of the suspects resulted from an extensive police investigation that included backtracking and forward tracking operations, witness statements, and the collection of physical evidence.
Authorities said these investigative efforts enabled police to establish the identities of the alleged gunmen.
The PNP said hot pursuit operations remain underway as law enforcement personnel continue efforts to locate and arrest the suspects.
Police are also preparing the criminal complaints that will be filed against the two identified individuals.
Mima Alicia was killed while her live-in partner was injured after they were shot by two motorcycle-riding gunmen inside a gated subdivision in Barangay 171, Caloocan City.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, July 17, 2026.
The suspects fled the scene after the shooting, prompting an investigation by local police and the PNP.
Authorities have not released the identities of the suspects as operations to arrest them continue.
Police have yet to disclose additional details regarding the possible motive behind the attack.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and pursue the suspects.
