P531K worth of shabu seized in Davao del Norte

Three suspected high-value drug personalities were arrested during a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay Cebulano, Carmen, Davao del Norte on April 7, 2025.

The operation, carried out at around 7:15 p.m., was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 11, the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office Mobile Force Company, and the Carmen Municipal Police Station.

Authorities identified the suspects by their aliases: Palang, Rean, and Jenifer. The trio was caught selling a medium-sized heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱9,000 to an undercover operative posing as a buyer.

Following the transaction, operatives recovered 13 additional heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated total street value of ₱522,000. Assorted drug paraphernalia and marked buy-bust money were also confiscated at the scene.

The total value of the seized illegal drugs is estimated at ₱531,000.

The suspects are currently detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities stressed their continued commitment to intensify anti-illegal drug operations across Davao del Norte and other parts of the region to curb the spread of narcotics.
