A Tale of Redemption and Second Chances

Incognito, helmed by director Lester Pimentel of Iron Heart fame, follows the journey of seven individuals from diverse backgrounds as they come together to confront a shared enemy. Each character grapples with personal challenges while seeking a second chance at life, making the series as much about inner struggles as external battles.

“This is a story about seven individuals who are going through a lot of challenges in their lives,” Pimentel explained during the media launch. “This is their journey as they aspire for a second chance.”

The series explores themes of resilience, redemption, and camaraderie, while also shedding light on the mental and emotional toll of their circumstances.

“It’s not just about action and combat; it’s about their individual journeys,” Ian Veneracion, who plays Greg Baterno, a military tactician, shared. “That’s what makes it really interesting—seven different characters at different phases in their lives.”

Intense Training Brings Characters to Life

To ensure authenticity in their roles, the cast underwent rigorous training for four months, including martial arts, Muay Thai, tactical combat, and war games. The actors emphasized the physical and emotional preparation needed to portray their characters effectively.

Anthony Jennings, who plays Tomas, a brave yet rugged character, revealed, “We all underwent extensive training for four months. It was intense but necessary.”

Maris Racal, who portrays Gabriela Rivera, a skilled spy and infiltration expert, added that the training not only prepared them physically but also helped build the technical expertise required for their roles.

“We had to master so much before day one—weapon handling, tactical moves, everything. It was challenging but worth it,” Racal said.

Ian Veneracion highlighted the importance of team chemistry, saying, “During training, we learned room-clearing techniques and other tactical strategies, which really showed how well we worked together.”
