Former NBA champion and reality star Lamar Odom is facing eviction after allegedly failing to pay $45,000 in rent for his luxury Studio City mansion.
A lawsuit filed by Executive Recovery Group claims that Odom, 45, missed payments for January, February, and March. The property management firm, which subleases the home, said Odom entered a verbal agreement in December 2024 to pay $15,000 monthly under a month-to-month lease.
Court documents state that multiple payment reminders were sent to the former Los Angeles Lakers player. A final notice in March demanded he settle the overdue balance or vacate the premises. Odom reportedly failed to respond and has now been ordered to leave the property.
Lawsuit adds financial strain amid personal challenges
According to the suit, Executive Recovery Group is seeking the unpaid rent, termination of the lease, attorney fees, and additional damages. The court filing outlines that Odom did not make any rental payments in the first quarter of 2025, despite occupying the home.
This legal trouble marks another low point in Odom’s post-NBA life, which has included battles with addiction, health scares, and high-profile personal struggles. He suffered a near-fatal overdose in 2015 at a Nevada brothel, after which he spent days in a coma and underwent extensive rehabilitation.
