Authorities are investigating a viral video showing a lady rider performing dangerous stunts along the national highway in Mandaue City, Cebu.
The video, which gained attention on social media, shows the rider letting go of her motorcycle’s handlebars, leaning sideways, and dancing while the vehicle was moving.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilbert Parilla, director of the Highway Patrol Group–Region 7 (HPG-7), confirmed in an interview with Brigada News FM Cebu on Friday that they will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
Parilla said the rider clearly violated traffic laws based on the actions seen in the video.
HPG-7 will submit the investigation results to the Land Transportation Office–Region 7 (LTO-7), which will determine any possible penalties or sanctions against the rider.
Parilla reminded motorists to always prioritize road safety, not only for themselves but also for the safety of others on the road.
