Kate Hudson isn’t ready to close the chapter on motherhood just yet. Despite already having three children with three different fathers, the 45-year-old actress-turned-singer is reportedly eager to expand her family once more.
Sources close to Hudson say she is seriously considering having another child with her 38-year-old fiancé, musician Danny Fujikawa.
“I could have so many kids,” Hudson has said. “I even think about it right now, I’m like, ‘Am I totally done?’ Because I can’t imagine being done!”
Kate Hudson’s Growing Family
Hudson, the daughter of Hollywood icon Goldie Hawn, has three children from past relationships. Her eldest, Ryder, 21, is from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. She shares her 13-year-old son, Bingham, with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. Her youngest, 6-year-old daughter Rani, is her first child with Fujikawa.
Insiders say Hudson’s history of spacing out her children may be a driving factor behind her baby fever.
“She’s had seven- or eight-year gaps between her kids,” a source explained. “With Rani turning 7 this year, she’s feeling that familiar pull again, and Danny is completely on board.”
Mixed Reactions from Hudson’s Kids
While Hudson is reportedly excited about the idea, not everyone in her family shares her enthusiasm.
“When Kate told Ryder she wanted another baby, he just said, ‘You’re joking, right?’” a source revealed. “He thought she was just trying to get a rise out of him.”
However, her youngest, Rani, is thrilled by the idea of a younger sibling.
“Rani has been asking for a little brother or sister she can boss around,” an insider said. “She would be the happiest of them all if Kate decides to go for it.”
Inspired by Other Celebrity Moms
Hudson, who recently launched her music career with her debut album, is reportedly inspired by other celebrities who became mothers later in life.
“She looks at women like Halle Berry, Hilary Swank, Janet Jackson, and Rachel Weisz—who all had kids after 45—and sees no reason why she can’t do the same,” a source explained.
Doctors have assured Hudson that she is in excellent health, giving her the confidence to consider expanding her family.
“She has always been a hands-on mom, and she’s great at it,” a source added. “If she decides to go for baby No. 4, no one who knows her would be surprised.”
Now, the question remains—will Hudson take the plunge and welcome another bundle of joy?
