Grenade attack rocks Maguindanao Police HQ

Authorities are pursuing two motorcycle-riding suspects linked to a grenade attack on the 4th Mobile Platoon headquarters in Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur.

According to initial information from Pagalungan MPS Chief PCapt. Razul Pandulo, investigators are following a lead regarding the motive behind the attack.

The explosion caused no injuries but damaged a vehicle owned by an on-duty police officer.

Responders from the Philippine Army’s 40th Infantry Battalion and representatives of the Pagalungan local government unit quickly arrived at the scene to secure the area.

Mayor Datu Salik Mamasabulod strongly condemned the act, calling it an assault on peace and order.

The attack occurred along the Cotabato-Davao road, where the police headquarters is located. Despite the incident, traffic flow in the area remained unaffected.
