The semifinals of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup will be temporarily postponed due to Gilas Pilipinas’ participation in the 2nd International Friendly Basketball Championship in Doha, Qatar, from February 14 to 16.
The semifinal bracket is now complete after No. 4 Barangay Ginebra eliminated No. 5 Meralco with a 94-87 win, while No. 6 Rain or Shine secured a spot by defeating No. 3 Converge, 112-103, in their respective Game 3 quarterfinal matchups.
Once the international tournament concludes, the semifinals will officially begin on February 26 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Barangay Ginebra will take on No. 1 NorthPort Batang Pier, while Rain or Shine will face No. 2 TNT Tropang Giga in a best-of-seven showdown.
Several players from Ginebra and TNT are expected to join Gilas Pilipinas, prompting the league to adjust the schedule.
