Family of three, including teen, shot dead

A family was brutally gunned down inside their home in San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu late Wednesday night, December 12.

The victims, identified as Bernardo Sampan, 42, Narcisa Sampan, 41, and their 14-year-old adopted daughter Cleah Nicole Villamor, were shot by a suspect known only as “Randy.”

According to police, the attack happened at around 11 p.m. in Sitio Timubo, Barangay Cabungaan. Bernardo reportedly told his biological child to flee moments before the shooting. The child escaped unscathed.

Bernardo and Villamor died on the spot, while Narcisa was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital. All suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

San Francisco police revealed that the suspect had visited the victims’ home, even sharing a meal with them before carrying out the attack. Patrolman Ramiel Suralta stated that an unsettled debt might have triggered the incident, although further investigation is ongoing.

A manhunt for Randy is underway. Authorities are appealing to the public for information that could lead to his capture.
