Duterte isn’t afraid of Quad Comm’s contempt threat

Former President Rodrigo Duterte is not afraid to be cited in contempt by the House’ Quad Committee.

In a press conference held in Davao City on Thursday, Duterte insisted that he had already told all the information when he went to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee investigation.

This was after he failed to attend the House’ Quad Committee’s hearing on the war on drugs.

Duterte is undaunted of the suggestions that he be cited in contempt for refusing to attend the congressional inquiry.

“Galing na ako sa pagkapresidente, Wag nila ako ganunin. Galing na ako sa Congress, nagmayor na ako, nag-congressman ako , nagpresidente na ako. Do not give me that s****”, Duterte said.

Prior to that, Quad Committee co-chair Representative Stephen Paduano questioned Duterte’s absence despite the assurance from his legal counsel Atty Martin Delgra III that he would attend the hearing.

“Malinaw, Mr. Chairman na naglolokohan tayo dito because this first letter promised us that he will be present after November 1…Ay ano natatakot siya na pumunta rito?” Paduano stressed.

Duterte said he does not know what else the congressmen want from him when everything has already been told in the Senate probe.

” Sinabi ko na naman lahat, ano pa ba ang gusto ng mga g***?”.Duterte asked.
