Authorities dismantled a suspected drug den in Purok 9, Barangay Alejal, Carmen, Davao del Norte leading to the arrest of eight individuals during a buy-bust operation early morning on March 6, 2025.
The operation was conducted by the Davao del Norte Provincial Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 11, in coordination with the Coast Guard Intelligence Group South Eastern Mindanao, Carmen Municipal Police Station, and the 2nd Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Company.
The alleged drug den maintainer, known as Tata, was caught selling suspected shabu worth Php 9,000 to an undercover agent. His employee, Jhon Lloyd, was also arrested, along with six visitors.
Seized from the scene were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 20 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php 180,000, along with drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.
The suspects are now in police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
