Actress and reality TV star Denise Richards is facing mounting legal troubles as her husband, wellness guru Aaron Phypers, is entangled in multiple lawsuits, sources claim. Legal documents suggest that creditors are now eyeing Richards’ earnings and assets to settle Phypers’ outstanding debt of over $228,000.
Lawsuits claim Denise Richards is ‘on the hook’ for Aaron Phypers’ debts
Court filings reveal that Creditors Adjustment Bureau Inc. is suing Phypers, 52, and his company, Quantum Epigenetics Consulting LLC, for failing to repay a substantial loan. The agency is now pursuing the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, alleging she may be responsible for covering her husband’s financial obligations.
Adding to the controversy, Phypers faces another lawsuit filed by Rupert Perry on behalf of his late wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall. According to Perry, Phypers guaranteed that stem cell treatments at his Malibu-based center would either cure or significantly improve his wife’s sarcoma. The lawsuit claims Phypers was “so confident” in the procedure’s effectiveness that he promised a 50% refund if it failed.
However, the treatment reportedly did not work. Instead of improving, Katsioula-Beall’s tumors allegedly grew by 25%. The lawsuit asserts that even as her condition worsened, Phypers never honored the couple’s request for a partial refund of $63,000. The widow passed away at age 67.
Phypers has yet to respond to either lawsuit. Meanwhile, legal experts suggest that if his financial troubles persist, creditors may intensify efforts to claim Richards’ assets, as she remains a high-profile target.
Denise Richards’ history of public battles and personal turmoil
Richards, 53, is no stranger to high-profile controversies. During her two-season run on RHOBH, she was embroiled in feuds with castmates and denied allegations of a romantic relationship with fellow reality star Brandi Glanville.
Beyond reality TV drama, Richards has faced intense personal struggles. Her turbulent four-year marriage to Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen was widely publicized, including a heated custody battle over their daughters. At one point, she even took in Sheen’s twin sons with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, showcasing her commitment to family despite past difficulties.
Now, with Phypers’ legal troubles looming, insiders speculate that Richards may be forced to make difficult financial decisions to protect her assets.
“She has been through a lot, but this situation could have long-term consequences,” a source close to the actress revealed. “If she’s legally responsible for his debts, things could get messy.”
As of now, Richards has not publicly addressed the lawsuits against her husband.
