Delivery rider robbed at gunpoint by riding-in-tandem in Davao City

A delivery rider was robbed at gunpoint by two men on a motorcycle in Barangay Balosong, Matina, Davao City around noon on July 10, according to a police report.

The Talomo Police Station identified the victim only as alias “Russel,” a 24-year-old delivery worker. He was reportedly flagged down by two unidentified men riding a motorcycle. One of the suspects, armed with an unidentified firearm, allegedly pointed the weapon at the victim and took his sling bag.

Inside the stolen bag were P4,000 in cash, several documents, the victim’s cellphone, and his motorcycle keys.

The suspects fled immediately after the incident. As of press time, they remain at large.

Police are currently conducting follow-up investigations to identify and arrest the suspects. Authorities have yet to determine whether the incident was a planned attack or an opportunistic crime.
