In an interview with Comelec Chair George Garcia, he said that out of the 21 contractors, only about eight candidates may be involved.

This suggests that a single candidate may have received donations from multiple contractors.

Garcia also emphasized that the investigation is expected to be completed in less than two weeks.

Once it is concluded, the Comelec will immediately send a letter to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to verify whether the names they have identified are, in fact, government contractors.
