Colder days are expected in the first months of 2026.
According to PAGASA, the “peak season” of the cold and dry Northeast Monsoon usually occurs during the first two months of the year.
Because of this, temperatures are forecast to drop further in the coming weeks, possibly ranging from 11.4°C to 14.3°C this month.
By January to February next year, temperatures may fall even lower, reaching 7.9°C to 11.8°C.
PAGASA added that cold surges may also occur.
The agency also warned that frost formation is possible, which could affect crops, prompting them to advise the public—especially farmers—to take precautions.
