Two-time Olympic champion Carlos Yulo will lead the Philippine delegation at the 2026 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from October 17 to 25.
Yulo will be joined by his younger brother, Karl Eldrew Yulo, with both gymnasts set to compete in the men’s individual all-around event.
Fellow Filipino gymnasts Juancho Miguel Besana and Haylee Garcia will also represent the country in their respective events.
Carlos heads into the competition fresh off a golden double at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where he captured gold medals in the floor exercise and vault.
The Philippine team is currently training in Antibes, France, as part of its final preparations for the world championships.
Yulo said his Asian Games campaign served as part of his buildup for the global competition, expressing satisfaction with the team’s progress through its training camps.
Meanwhile, Karl Eldrew is aiming for another podium finish after securing a bronze medal at the Asian Games, as he looks to carry that momentum into the world championships.
