Brigada team travels 250km to bring aid, magic show, and joy to quake victims in Davao Oriental

Brigada Davao, together with Brigada Mati and Brigada Tagum, traveled about 250 kilometers to Barangay Pichon in Caraga, Davao Oriental, to deliver relief goods and provide entertainment to residents affected by frequent earthquakes.

Despite damaged roads and river crossings, the team successfully reached the remote area, greeted by villagers holding placards of gratitude. The mission aimed to provide both aid and comfort to families who experience three to four tremors daily.

Elderly resident Esia Lagungan said the visit eased their exhaustion after enduring repeated quakes.

After the show, Brigada volunteers distributed ice cream, rice, hygiene kits, food items, toys, and clean drinking water. Tres Letras Store supported the effort by providing transport, meals, and assistance for the volunteers.

The outreach was made possible through donations and cooperation from listeners of Brigada’s three radio stations across the Davao Region, Mindanao, and the Visayas.
