Attempt to Deregister Rep. Co’s Air Assets in the Philippines Revealed

Three helicopters allegedly linked to Rep. Zaldy Co were once the subject of an attempted deregistration in the Philippines.

This was reported by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) amid ongoing controversy over Co’s supposed involvement in irregularities surrounding flood control projects.

In an interview, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon said that three companies tried to deregister helicopters connected to the lawmaker.

Despite the attempt, authorities managed to stop the process, and the aircraft are currently on hold for deregistration.

Dizon explained that without deregistration in the Philippines, the air assets cannot be sold — even to foreign buyers.
