Iminungkahi ng Health Justice Philippines (HJP) sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) na paigtingin ang regulasyon ng paggamit ng vaporized nicotine at non-nicotine products.
Ayon kay HJP legal consultant Ben Nisperos, hindi kailangan ng bagong vape law kundi dapat siguruhin ang implementasyon ng Republic Act 11467.
Nakapaloob dito na taasan ang excise tax sa mga electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products at alcohol products.
Samantala, iginiit ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III na maraming insidente ang lumalabas kaugnay sa masamang dulot ng vapes at e-cigarettes kabilang ang heart at respiratory diseases at explosion injuries. (ARGIE ERGINA)
