The Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency intercepted 12 kilograms of suspected shabu worth an estimated standard drug price of ₱81.6 million at Batangas Port in Barangay Sta. Clara on Oct. 7, 2026.
The joint operation also led to the arrest of four male suspects aged 18, 29, 30 and 41, according to PCG spokesperson Commodore Noemie Cayabyab.
The four arrested individuals are residents of Malate, Manila, and Maluso, Basilan.
Authorities also recovered a vehicle, a cellular phone, identification cards and ATM cards during the operation.
The inventory of the recovered evidence was completed at around 9 a.m., authorities said.
At 10 a.m., the four suspects and the recovered evidence were turned over to PDEA for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.
Authorities said the suspects face alleged violations of Section 5, or transportation of dangerous drugs, and Section 11, or possession of dangerous drugs, under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PCG said it will sustain its coordination with PDEA to strengthen efforts against the transportation of illegal drugs through the country’s ports and maritime routes.

The seized suspected illegal drugs, vehicle, cellular phone, identification cards and ATM cards were included in the evidence turned over to PDEA for proper disposition and appropriate charges following the completion of the evidence inventory.
