A passenger plane bound for Israel was forced to make an emergency landing after one of its pilots allegedly stabbed his co-pilot mid-flight.
The flight was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv when it reportedly dipped at an altitude of around 17,000 feet before being diverted to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.
Around five passengers reportedly helped restrain the suspect, who allegedly attempted to take control of the aircraft.
The suspect was arrested after the plane landed safely in Saudi Arabia.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz described the incident as a “jihadist terror attack.”
Flydubai has since sent another aircraft to Tabuk Airport to pick up the passengers who were stranded there.
