Suspected rocket debris recovered along Palawan coast

The Coast Guard District Palawan has confirmed the recovery of suspected rocket debris that washed ashore in Sitio Taburon, Barangay Balading, Bisucay Island, Cuyo, Palawan.

According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Coast Guard Station Eastern Palawan (CGS-EP) received the report at around 6:46 a.m., prompting the immediate deployment of a Quick Response Team (QRT).

The suspected debris was recovered with the assistance of barangay personnel and has since been secured at the Coast Guard Station Eastern Palawan.

Meanwhile, the Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Group–Palawan (MARSLEG-PAL) will conduct a technical assessment and validation to determine the identity and origin of the object.

The Philippine Coast Guard assured the public that appropriate safety measures are in place as the investigation continues.
