Fuel prices may rise next week

After consecutive fuel price rollbacks, motorists may expect another increase in petroleum prices next week.

According to an industry source, diesel prices may increase by P1.20 per liter, while gasoline prices could go up by P1.50 per liter on June 30.

The projected adjustments are based on the four-day average of the Mean of Platts Singapore.

However, with one trading day still remaining, the projected price adjustments could still increase or even shift to a rollback.

Despite recent declines in global oil prices, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has yet to fully stabilize.

Just recently, a suspected attack on a cargo vessel in the strategic waterway was reported, adding to ongoing concerns over global oil supply.
