After 14 years as a couple, Choi Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation and Korean actor Jung Kyung-ho have officially ended their relationship.
The breakup was confirmed by the agencies representing both stars.
According to reports, the two gradually grew apart due to their demanding schedules, ultimately leading to the end of their long-term relationship.
SARAM Entertainment, Sooyoung’s agency, stated that the former couple remains on good terms and will continue to support each other as colleagues despite the breakup.
Meanwhile, Jung Kyung-ho’s agency said the matter is a private issue and declined to provide further details.
The pair had long been admired by fans for their stable and enduring relationship and were often regarded as one of South Korea’s strongest celebrity couples.
Rumors linking the two first surfaced in 2012, but they publicly acknowledged their relationship in January 2014.
