The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued subpoenas to four individuals as part of its ongoing investigation into the alleged escape of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
According to NBI Director Atty. Melvin Matibag, those ordered to appear include suspended Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca and Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto.
Also subpoenaed were Virgilio Cariño, identified as the uncle of Sen. Robin Padilla, and Jean Robles, the senator’s deputy chief of staff.
The subpoenas were issued as investigators continue gathering information related to the alleged incident involving Dela Rosa.
Matibag said the four individuals have been directed to appear before the NBI office in Pasay City this week to provide their statements regarding the case.
For now, investigators are expected to receive the statements of the four individuals and evaluate any information that may be relevant to the case.
The investigation remains ongoing, with the NBI continuing its efforts to establish the facts surrounding the alleged incident involving Sen. dela Rosa.
