VP Sara: government should prioritize needs of ordinary Filipinos amid political noise

Vice President Sara Duterte believes the government should focus on the welfare of Filipino families instead of politics amid rising living costs.

In a video posted by Alvin & Tourism from The Hague, Duterte stressed that the government should prioritize how Filipino families can afford food on a daily basis.

She added that if allegations of “payoffs” related to the impeachment are true, the funds would be better used to help people in need.

The vice president was also asked about claims that the country has become an “ayuda nation,” where assistance is repeatedly used as the solution to problems.

According to Duterte, the Philippines can still move away from such a system, although she acknowledged that it would not happen overnight.
